Okay that creeps me out. Not as bad as worms in the eye, but enough.

    Oh surely those brain-eating parasites from Guatemala that you can get from eating infected fruit are much worse.

    Mother Nature on the whole however has to be a bit more subtle with humans. (Don't think it's a coincidence that AIDS popped up right about the same time the planet's population reached 10 million. There's just getting to be too many of us around it seems....)

    Oh man. I worked a little bit with ants a few summers ago, and it was always so frustrating when they'd develop spores! That and mites. It always hit the best colonies, too.
